Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Follows payor requirements for in/out of network plans and identifies needs for referrals and precertification either electronically or by telephone according to department procedures and guidelines.
• Performs verification of benefits on all patient encounters.
• Audits chart for accuracy and records essential information in the EMR.
• Demonstrates service excellence by professionally assisting patients and customers with respect.
• Works collaboratively with other departments and physician offices to obtain registration information and authorization.
