Qualifications

• 1 year of experience with billing, financial screening, insurance verification, collections, or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Perform COR, ED, Admitting Registrations functions as defined in each area's CBO tool.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, benefits, and authorization requirements.
• Screen patients for financial responsibility and potential cash collections.
• Identify reimbursement sources and direct patients to financial assistance programs.
• Determine and collect appropriate deposits.
• Facilitate referrals and prior authorizations.
• Determine eligibility of third party programs.
• Provide accurate, current information to patients, physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals.
• Maintain knowledge of ABN and PPA forms as related to the department.
• Meet performance standards and participate in QA and performance reviews.
• Support training and mentoring of new staff.
• Prioritize and complete work accurately and efficiently.
• Participate in team meetings and support department goals.
• Deliver excellent customer service.
