Job summary

You will coordinate financial arrangements, perform financial screening, verify insurance, and communicate with patients, referral sources, and the treatment team to resolve access and financial issues.

The role requires accuracy, knowledge of financial assistance options, and ability to coordinate referrals and authorizations.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience with billing, financial screening, insurance verification, collections, or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient demographics, insurance coverage, benefits, and authorization requirements.
• Screen patients for financial responsibility and potential cash collections.
• Determine potential reimbursement sources and direct patients to financial assistance programs.
• Determine and collect appropriate deposits.
• Facilitate referrals and prior authorizations.
• Determine eligibility for third party programs.
• Provide information to patients and healthcare professionals to aid satisfaction and reimbursement.
• Support training of new employees.
• Maintain QA standards and productivity.
• Stay updated with announcements and apply job duties.
• Participate in team meetings and align with department goals.
