Qualifications

• 1 year of experience with billing, financial screening, insurance verification, collections, and/or customer service required.

Responsibilities

• Perform and master COR, ED, Admitting Registrations functions as defined in each area’s customized CBO tool.
• Verifies patient demographics and insurance coverage, benefits, and authorization requirements for services.
• Screen patients for financial responsibility and potential cash collections.
• Determine potential reimbursement sources and refer patients to financial assistance programs.
• Determine and collect appropriate deposits.
• Facilitate referrals and prior authorizations and determine eligibility for third-party programs.
• Provide information to patients, physicians, nurses, and staff to aid patient access and maximize reimbursement.
• Maintain QA expectations and complete training/mentoring of new staff.
• Attend team meetings and support department goals; deliver excellent customer service.
