Job summary

Dayton Children's Main Campus is seeking an Access Specialist I to support patient services and financial outcomes. You'll work 40 hours weekly, rotating between the Main Campus, Child Health Pavilion, and Hope Center, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 9:00am to 5:30pm and every 10th Saturday.

The role emphasizes customer service, insurance verification, data entry, and payment collection while maintaining patient relations and hospital solvency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customer service (front desk/patient facing) preferred but not required.
• Comfort with handling PHI and data entry tasks.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and register patients; transcribe orders.
• Perform insurance verification and data entry.
• Provide telephone coverage and patient referrals as needed.
• Collect payments and maintain patient relations.
• Maintain compliance with PHI and privacy policies.
