Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in healthcare or institutional work setting.
• Computer/data entry experience and ability to communicate with healthcare team.
• Written and verbal communication, attention to detail, self-directed and positive attitude.
• Working knowledge of patient registration systems and intermediate Microsoft Office.
• Epic experience preferred.
• PAS onboarding training within 45 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients/representatives to collect complete demographic, financial and insurance information.
• Enter patient information into the registration system and obtain signatures as required.
• Verify insurance benefits and determine pre-certification requirements.
• Assist with scheduling, pre-admission arrangements and admission processes.
• Explain financial policies, collect estimated self-pay balances, and arrange payments.
• Respond to inquiries and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
