Job summary

Baptist Health is hiring for a Patient Access role in South Florida. The incumbent coordinates patient flow, answers questions, and processes admissions with a focus on accurate insurance and pricing information.

Required are high school or equivalent credentials and strong customer service. Bilingual English and Spanish/Creole preferred; experience with EMR and Office apps is beneficial. Pay ranges from $16.28 to $20.68 hourly.

Qualifications

• High School, Cert, GED, Trn, Exper.
• Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and perform basic calculations.
• Detail oriented with excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Desirable: knowledge of medical terms and insurance terminology.
• Experience with computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office) and typing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow and timely processing within the department.
• Maintain knowledge of insurance requirements and pricing options.
• Provide professional, compassionate service to patients, families and staff.
• Comply with HIPAA, AHCA, EMTALA, and Medicare guidelines.
