Job summary

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
One year of customer service experience.
Basic understanding of medical terminology.

Computer literacy required.
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
Fire and Life Safety Card within 30 days of hire (Hollywood and Van Nuys only).

Responsibilities

Registers all patients according to department procedures and prepares financial folders.
Ensures accounts are billable, collects payments, and verifies insurance coverage.
Operates PBX and handles calls, paging, and hospital codes as required.
Ensures physicians are authorized to admit patients and refers delinquent accounts appropriately.
Maintains patient confidentiality and safe environment for patients and visitors.
