Job summary

University of Southern California Arcadia Hospital is seeking a Patient Access Representative. Under the direction of the Admitting Manager, you will interview incoming patients (inpatient, outpatient, and ED) to obtain all data for admission and produce a complete admission record, including demographic and financial information.

You will answer admissions inquiries, collect deposits or payments, interact with nursing units and ancillary departments, and provide directions to various areas

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years minimum of customer service skills required.
• Must be BLS certified or must provide BLS certificate within 30 days of hire.
• M.A.B. certification required. New hires must obtain within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients or guests and respond to their requests.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct.
• Uphold HIPAA and related regulations in patient interactions.
• Complete and verify patient's admission records and financial information.
• Direct patients to the correct hospital departments and areas.
