Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience or training.
• One year of related experience preferred, especially in medical or financial services.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and preregisters patients, verifies demographics and benefits, and ensures accurate data for billing.
• Verifies insurance information with payors and coordinates authorization/referral documentation.
• Calculates patient liabilities and posts payments; assists with self-pay and complex liabilities.
• Delivers positive patient experience and maintains relationships with patients, staff and providers.
• Aims for productivity targets and suggests improvements.
• Follows AHN policies, attends mandatory trainings, and performs other duties as assigned.
