Bryan Health is seeking a Patient Access/Registration Clerk to support timely patient access by collecting demographic and insurance information, verifying coverage, and explaining payment options. You will witness consent forms, provide cost estimates, and maintain accurate records in the electronic medical record system.

In this role, you will greet patients and visitors professionally, assist with inquiries, and coordinate with departments to ensure smooth admissions and financial counseling

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in clerical, customer service, or healthcare-related field preferred.
• Excellent communication and patient service orientation.

Responsabilités

• Register and admit patients in person, by phone, or at the bedside by collecting and entering complete demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance coverage and identify payer requirements; escalate authorization or coverage issues as needed.
• Explain payment policies, financial responsibility, and available payment options; collect copays and deductibles.
• Obtain and witness required registration and financial consent forms.
• Generate patient cost estimates when applicable.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record system.
• Support department operations by answering phones and managing work queues.
