Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Clerical, customer service or healthcare experience preferred.

Mansioni

• Register and admit patients in person, by phone, or at bedside by collecting and entering complete demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance coverage, identify payer requirements, and escalate authorization or coverage issues as appropriate.
• Explain payment policies, financial responsibility, and available payment options; collects copays, deductibles, and other required payments.
• Obtains, reviews, and witnesses required registration and financial consent forms.
• Prepares and provides patient cost estimates when applicable.
• Maintains accurate patient records, updates account information, and documents relevant notes in the electronic medical record.
• Supports departmental operations by answering phones, managing work queues, assembling patient documents, and following downtime procedures.
• Assists patients, families, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner while maintaining confidentiality and service excellence standards.
• Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
• Participates in meetings, committees and department projects as assigned.
• Performs other related projects and duties as assigned.
