Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of clerical experience (healthcare preferred).
• Knowledge of health insurance and office equipment.
• Strong customer service skills with a professional, compassionate approach.
• Comfortable using electronic medical records and computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs admitting functions for all patients, including gathering patient demographic information and Medicare, Medicaid, or insurance information
• Greets patients and directs them to the appropriate department
• Communicates with all departments to facilitate patient care, patient flow, and special needs
• Operates central switchboard and directs telephone calls, paging, and taking messages appropriately
• Provide clerical support for projects and assignments
