Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital is seeking a Front Desk / Patient Access representative to greet and register patients, support check-out, and schedule follow-up appointments. The role emphasizes accurate demographics verification, monitoring wait times, and providing kiosk assistance to streamline the check-in process.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year related work experience preferred.
• Certification(s) and License(s): None listed

Responsabilidades

• Check patients in for appointments and verify demographics.
• Assure all check-in procedures are completed and monitor patient wait times, informing patients of changes.
• Provide kiosk support to facilitate check-in where applicable.
• Understand general guidelines and insurance rank requrement to assign primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance per encounter.
• Read and interpret insurance responses.
• Ensure patient receives necessary disclosure and privacy information and obtain signatures.
• Communicate financial obligations and collect fees at time of service.
• Complete regulatory forms with patient and schedule follow-up appointments.
• Process multi-channel messages about appointments, referrals, prescriptions, and complaints.
• Notify patient or guarantor of anticipated financial responsibility and collect accordingly.
• Post cash following department guidelines.
• Independently manage work queues for timely resolution of accounts.
• Maintain productivity and quality standards and accurate medical record maintenance.
