Job summary

Rochester Regional Health is seeking an Access Associate in the Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab department. You will be the first point of contact, greeting patients and families, handling check-in and check-out, and processing payments at the Rochester, NY location.

The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with a schedule that includes weekdays. Preferred candidates have a 2-year degree, intermediate computer skills, and strong customer service and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service. Manage incoming calls while providing necessary information; greeting patients providing direction as needed and scheduling patient appointments
• Registration & Verification. Complete the registration process for patients as defined by departmental policy; verify insurance eligibility/coverage and obtain necessary precertification/authorization when applicable
• Billing & Payments. Collect and process payments when applicable
