Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• 2 year degree or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year customer service experience preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills expected.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Manages incoming calls and provides necessary information.
• Greet patients and/or their representatives and provide directions as needed.
• Schedule and preschedule patient appointments.
• Identify services without a payment source and follow up with financial assistance or payment arrangements.
• Verify insurance eligibility/coverage and obtain precertifications/authorizations when applicable.
• Collect/co-payments, deductibles and other payments and provide cost estimates.
• Ensure data accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with payers, physician offices, and other departments.
• Set up new patient records via Care Connect.
• May be asked to interpret if qualified.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
