Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Interact professionally with patients, colleagues, managers and executives.
• Confidentiality with HIPAA in all daily tasks.
• One year of experience in a medical practice or health insurance organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Prior EMR experience preferred.
• Travel to other clinics as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner.
• Effectively handles the patient check-in/checkout process.
• Answers calls addressing appointment times, patient requests and general inquiries.
• Reviews patient charts for accuracy prior to appointments and ensures required information is included.
• Performs scanning and sorting within EMR system.
• Verifies and updates current insurance information with the patient.
• Collects patient payments.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
