Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED required.
• One year of healthcare patient access experience preferred.
• Knowledge of patient registration procedures, health insurance payers, and real-time eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient registration and admitting across access areas, including ED and main registration.
• Gather, verify and update demographic, insurance, and account information.
• Verify insurance eligibility and collect point-of-service payments when appropriate.
• Schedule, confirm and revise appointments while supporting provider workflows.
• Scan, index and manage patient documentation within the EHR.
• Identify and resolve routine issues, escalate complex situations as needed, and assist by phone.
