You will verify demographics, insurance details, and eligibility, collect payments when appropriate, and maintain accurate records, contributing to a smooth and compassionate patient experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of healthcare patient access experience preferred.
• Knowledge of patient registration procedures and health insurance payers; real-time eligibility verification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient registration and admitting across assigned access areas, including ED, main registration, admitting, and other patient access points.
• Gather, verify, and update demographic, insurance, and account information to ensure accurate records.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits, communicate patient financial responsibility, and collect payments when appropriate.
• Schedule, confirm, and revise appointments while supporting provider and clinic workflows.
• Scan, index, and manage patient documentation within the EHR to support registration, billing, and clinical processes.
• Identify and resolve routine registration, insurance, and encounter issues, and escalate complex cases as needed.
