Qualifications

• EMR/PM system experience required.

• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment.
• Willingness to travel to OrthoNY locations.
• Knowledge of medical insurances preferred.
• Experience working with an EMR/PM system and medical office processes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare appointments for the following day; verify all required fields, eligibility, and insurance details.
• Greet patients promptly and professionally at check-in/out.
• Professionally answer incoming phone calls.
• Review data/forms with patients to ensure accurate records in the EMR/PM system.
• Collect copayments and balances; reconcile daily payments.
• Operate the practice management system as defined by the supervisor.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely data processing and patient throughput.
• Reconcile daily payments and compile reports for daily close.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and tests as needed.
• Provide handouts or portal messages to patients as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance; secure handling of records.
• Travel to other OrthoNY locations for coverage as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
