Job summary

University Hospitals Concord is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients and families. You will verify demographics, insurance, and payments to ensure accurate registration and smooth scheduling.

In this role, you will handle check-ins/outs, appointment scheduling, MyChart enrollment, and collaboration with the care team to support a positive patient experience and efficient revenue cycle processes.

Qualifications

• High School Equivalent / GED (Required)
• Associate's Degree or progress towards degree (Preferred)
• Medical Terminology (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Check patients in and out for medical visits.
• Answer phones and address patient inquiries; schedule appointments.
• Assist patients with enrolling and using MyChart.
• Enter, update and verify patient demographic, insurance and financial information.
• Communicate information to the medical care team and document accordingly.
• Contact insurance companies regarding coverage or billing issues as needed.
• Collect and process patient payments for copays, coinsurance, and balances.
• Assist with paperwork and forms; manage EPIC workqueues and inbasket messages.
• Schedule referrals and follow-up visits; ensure timely scanning of documents.
