Conifer Health is seeking a Patient Access representative for Abrazo Buckeye Emergency Center in Goodyear, AZ. Shift is Sunday-Wednesday 5p-5a, supporting registration and financial clearance with attention to HIPAA and patient privacy.

You will verify demographics, explain financial responsibilities, and assist with scheduling while ensuring accurate insurance data and timely payor notifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0–1 year in a Customer Service role.
• 0–1 year administrative experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred.
• Some college coursework is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, complete patient registration, explain and secure legal forms.
• Scan PHI and file patient information packets for upcoming hospital services.
• May assist with scheduling procedures and provide appointment instructions.
• Educate patients about financial liabilities and collect payments per policy.
• Verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and notify payors for inpatient visits.
