Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrates proficient interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic data entry and computer skills, including Microsoft Office products.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, preferred.
• Prior healthcare, medical office, or insurance experience preferred.
• If applicable, minimum 2 years experience in call center environment, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient access processes and appointments in the electronic health record.
• Verify and correctly assign insurance coverages based on eligibility responses.
• Create a transparent financial experience including generation of estimate, explains patient liability, and collects prepayments and/or outstanding balances.
• Monitors and resolves errors in assigned workqueues.
• Advocates for patient engagement, including activation of MyChart.
• Supports the Patient Access Supervisor with special projects as needed.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
