Job summary

Community Health Connections (CHC) is a multi-site, non-profit health care center serving Fitchburg and surrounding communities. The Call Center Specialist will manage incoming calls, book appointments, and enter patient data while providing translation support for non-English speakers.

Under supervision of the Office Manager, you will schedule acute and routine visits, screen messages, and assist with front desk coverage at CHC locations, ensuring compassionate, accurate service in a busy

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Portuguese is a plus.
• Typing speed of at least 35 WPM is required.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology is required.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and English language skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming calls, directing to appropriate CHC personnel.
• Screen calls, record messages, and return calls as needed.
• Schedule acute and routine appointments per protocol.
• Enter patient registration and demographic information.
• Provide translation services for non-English speakers.
• Cover front desk duties as needed; assist with faxes.
