Job summary

Community Health Connections is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to manage patient check-in/out, update demographics and assist with appointments and forms at the CHC Fitchburg Medical department. Evening shifts are required, and bilingual Spanish is a plus as you work within a busy, high-volume clinic.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, patient coordination, and teamwork across clinical and non-clinical staff while ensuring smooth operations and strong patient service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• Evenings and weekend availability required.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
• 1 year of similar work experience or medical office experience preferred.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, high-call-volume office.

Responsibilities

• Receives and directs incoming patients.
• Reviews and updates patient demographics and insurance information.
• Follows protocol for check-in, encounter form production, and check-out.
• Assists walk-in patients with appointments, prescriptions, or forms.
• Places reminder calls for upcoming appointments.
• Schedules walk-in appointments with Nurse on Duty.
• Provides coverage to Medical Records as needed.
• Team-based care with clinical and non-clinical staff.
