Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to manage the patient intake process in our clinic. You will interact with patients in person and by phone to check in/out, collect data and payments, verify insurance, schedule appointments, and handle referrals and authorizations.

You will need strong customer service skills and knowledge of insurance, billing, and medical terminology to provide a seamless intake experience.

Qualifications

• One year of customer service work experience
• Two years of customer service work experience
• Healthcare or Call Center experience

Responsabilités

• Registers and/or checks patients in/out.
• Performs patient check-in at the time of visit; records and verifies demographic, insurance and other information; follows procedures and escalates issues as needed.
• Conducts routine insurance eligibility verifications.
• Copies/scans patient access related materials into the electronic medical record.
• Records non-clinical charges and handles payments.
