Inova Fairfax Hospital Emergency Department is seeking a dedicated Patient Access Associate for a part-time evening role from 5:00pm to 9:00pm, five days per week in Virginia. The position involves patient intake, registration, insurance verification, and basic financial counseling.

Responsibilities include handling phones, scanning documents, using EMR systems, scheduling, referrals, and ensuring HIPAA and regulatory compliance. Prior healthcare customer service experience is preferred.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service experience preferred in healthcare.

Mansioni

• Register patients, verify identity and insurance, collect basic information and demographics.
• Answer phones, scan documents, and use EMR and eligibility tools.
• Provide financial counseling, collect payments and explain billing information.
• Verify basic eligibility and coverage for insurance.
• Coordinate referrals, scheduling, and patient communications.
• Assist with patient kiosks and transport scheduling as needed.
