Job summary

Women’s Care is seeking a Patient Access Representative at our Jacksonville location. You will greet patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, and schedule appointments, ensuring a smooth check-in experience.

The role emphasizes customer service, HIPAA compliance, and proficiency with EMR systems (eCW). High school diploma required; healthcare experience preferred. We offer competitive benefits and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional customer service experience with a positive patient experience.
• Strong organizational skills and a customer-centric focus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; dependable and punctual.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to learn computer programs quickly.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume, dynamic setting.
• Able to work effectively with patients, coworkers, and providers.
• Experience with electronic medical records (eCW) is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a prompt, courteous manner.
• Obtain and confirm patient demographics and update profiles.
• Collect payment and assist with billing while meeting time-of-service goals.
• Scan insurance cards and IDs into the EMR system (HIPAA compliance).
• Set up payment plans per policy and answer questions about forms.
• Answer high volumes of calls and respond to patient emails promptly.
• Confirm all appointments for the next business day.
• Monitor lobby and inform patients about provider delays.
• Assist patients with online registration or form completion.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments and verify insurance eligibility.
• Ensure all records are checked out and properly updated daily.
• Keep lobby and front area tidy; assist with waiting room as needed.
• Demonstrate Women’s Care mission and core values; HIPAA compliance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
