Job summary

Mercy invites applications for a Patient Access Representative at the Rogers ED. This part-time role involves greeting patients, assisting with scheduling, registration, and insurance verification.

You will support pre-certification and financial clearance while ensuring accurate patient information is captured in Mercy’s records. Applicants should have 1–3 years clerical experience, familiarity with medical terminology and insurance plans, and a HS diploma.

Qualifications

• Clear verbal and written communication with patients and staff.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and professional demeanor.
• Ability to build positive relationships with patients, physicians, and hospital staff and insurers.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficient with computer systems and data entry, including 10-key calculator.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient entrance to Mercy facilities, including scheduling and registration.
• Perform benefit verification, pre-certification, and financial clearance tasks.
• Enter and verify patient data accurately in the system.
