This role requires strong communication skills and accuracy, with duties rotating across outpatient registration and emergency department stations to ensure smooth patient flow and regulatory compliance.

Qualifikationen

• Required High School Diploma or GED; Associates in healthcare or business administration preferred.
• Minimum 3 years hospital/healthcare customer service experience in Emergency Department or similar setting.

Aufgaben

• Interacts with patients and families to gather complete demographic and insurance information.
• Verifies insurance coverage and benefits using Real Time Eligibility/ payer websites.
• Collects out-of-pocket liability and copays at the time of service.
• Registers patients and assigns medical record numbers.
• Ensures referrals/authorizations are on file when required.
• Completes MSPQ questionnaire for Medicare patients.
• Performs duties in outpatient and ED registration areas with accuracy and regulatory compliance.
