The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Registration Clerk for the Great Bend Campus. The Patient Registration Representative handles inpatient and outpatient registrations, verifies demographics and insurance information, and assists patients and families with questions.

You will greet patients, collect co-pays when required, input data into the system with accurate spelling, balance cash drawers at day end, and explain facility policies and consent forms.

Formación

• Clerical, registration and/or customer service experience within a health care setting.
• Ability to collect and verify patient demographics and insurance information.
• Experience with data entry and cash handling is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Monitors daily schedule and registers admitted patients for the department.
• Obtains patient identification and insurance information for accurate records.
• Enters data into the computer system with correct spelling and details.
• Greets patients and relatives and explains facility policies and consent forms.
• Collects co-pays or deposits when applicable and balances cash drawer.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
