Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED is required.
• Clerical, registration and/or customer service experience in health care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register inpatient and outpatient patients for the assigned department.
• Collect demographic, insurance and financial information; ensure accurate data entry.
• Balance cash drawer at end of day.
• Collect co-payments or deposits as appropriate for service.
• Explain facility policies and obtain signatures on consent and insurance forms.
• Admit/register scheduled, non-scheduled or emergent patients as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of policies, third party coverage and required documents.
