Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Patient Access Associate to verify and prepare patient accounts for inpatient and outpatient billing. You will assist with demographic/insurance data, insurance eligibility, and payment arrangements while delivering excellent customer service.

The role involves verifying funding sources, posting payments, and supporting revenue cycle processes to maximize payments for hospital services.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or High School Diploma with 2 years of customer service experience.
• Patient Access Certification (preferred).
• One (1) year relevant experience in a medical office or hospital preferred.

Responsabilités

• Enter and update demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance coverage and eligibility.
• Discuss payment arrangements and funding sources.
• Collect and post payments from patients.
• Provide high level customer service at the point of service.
• Coordinate with providers to resolve revenue cycle issues.
