Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to support scheduling, registration, pre-admission, admission, and discharge processes. You will collect accurate patient demographics and ensure compliant, early and ongoing collection of patient liabilities.

The role requires strong customer service skills, proficiency with PC/CRT equipment, and excellent English communication. Experience in a hospital setting and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or GED required.
• Typing speed: 35 wpm or faster.
• Experience using PC/CRT/printer and basic office software.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Course in Medical Terminology required.

Responsibilities

• Support scheduling, registration, pre-admission, admission, reception and discharge processes.
• Obtain accurate patient demographic information and maintain documentation.
• Employ compliant patient liability collection techniques throughout the patient encounter.
