Job summary

UCI Health in Orange County seeks a Patient Access representative to support departmental efficiency by handling scheduling, registration, pre-admission and admission, reception and discharge functions. You will collect complete patient demographics and apply compliant liability collection techniques.

The position requires excellent English communication, 0–1 year in customer service, and 0–1 year of administrative experience in a medical facility or health insurance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 0-1 year in Customer Service role.
• 0-1 year administrative experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred.
• Some colleg coursework required.
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Responsibilities

• Handle reception and discharge functions.
• Obtain complete and accurate patient demographic information.
