Job summary

The ideal candidate has at least one year of recent hospital or clinic registration experience, understands medical terminology, and can communicate clearly in English. Weekend, holiday and evening availability is required; travel to off-site practices may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience with patient registration and scheduling in a hospital or clinic
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Ability to interpret and understand medical insurance plans and coverage
• Knowledge of ICD9 and CPT codes

Responsibilities

• Register patients and obtain necessary authorizations
• Verify patient funding source and schedule surgery
• Respond to patient inquiries and resolve issues
• Travel to off-site physician practices as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and scheduling data
• Coordinate with care teams to ensure smooth patient flow
