Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) is seeking an adaptable staff member to process patient preadmission and admission demographic and insurance data. You will input data into the hospital system and maintain strict quality control to ensure accurate records.

This role acts as a bridge between patients, financial counselors and patient accounting while following MUSC policies. Previous experience in health care or customer service is preferred, with high school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year experience in customer service, health care or a business related field.
• Ability to interpret and apply financial procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process patient preadmission and admission demographic and insurance data.
• Enter information in the hospital computer system and maintain accuracy.
• Maintain quality control for each preadmission and admission to ensure information is correct.
• Act as liaison between patients, financial counselors and hospital patient accounting.
• Ensure that all state, federal and MUSC policies and procedures are followed.
