Job summary

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service in a professional setting (excluding retail/food service).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle potentially stressful situations and multiple tasks.
• Basic typing, computer and/or word processing skills.

Responsibilities

• Gathers and enters patient demographic information into the hospital information system.
• Verifies benefits and obtains required authorization.
• Obtains co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance and deposit amounts.
• Provides office support including scheduling, typing, filing, etc.
