Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Patient Access Specialist / Registrar to join our team in a non-clinical capacity. You will create patient medical records, gather information for billing, and support admissions for all services.

The role requires 1 year of customer service experience, with preference for registration and insurance verification knowledge; EPIC experience is a plus. Full-time, on-site coverage, with weekend/holiday rotation, and a benefits package is offered.

Qualifications

• 1 year of customer service experience required.
• Registration experience preferred.
• Knowledge of patient insurance process and benefits verification preferred.
• EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Admitting duties for all patients admitted for services.
• Assign MRNs and complete medical necessity/compliance checks.
• Provide patient instructions and collect insurance information.
• Pre-register patient accounts prior to visits.
