Job summary

Women’s Care is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first point of contact for patients. You will greet patients, collect demographics, verify insurance, and assist with scheduling and billing while ensuring a compassionate, accurate patient experience.

Responsibilities include handling insurance scans, setting up payment plans, responding to calls and emails, and ensuring EMR (eCW) checkout at day end. Prior experience in medical offices is preferred.

Qualifications

• Exceptional customer service experience and a positive patient experience at every encounter.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient computer skills; able to quickly learn office software including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly and confirm demographics.
• Collect and update patient information for registration and scheduling.
• Collect payments and assist with billing inquiries and time-of-service collections.
• Scan insurance cards and IDs into the EMR with HIPAA compliance.
• Set up payment plans per policy and explain financial options.
• Handle high volume calls and patient emails promptly.
• Confirm upcoming appointments and monitor lobby wait times.
• Assist patients with online registration and form completion.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments and verify insurance eligibility.
• Check out all patients in the EMR (eCW) at day end and maintain clean lobby.
• Demonstrate Women’s Care mission and HIPAA compliance; other duties as assigned.
