Job summary

Women’s Care is seeking a Patient Access Representative to be the first face and voice for our patients across locations. You will collect demographics, confirm insurance and schedule appointments, and assist with billing at the point of service.

Ideal candidates have high school diploma and exceptional customer service, with strong communication and computer literacy, including experience with EMR systems like eClinicalWorks. A positive, patient-focused demeanor is essential.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Exceptional customer service experience and a true desire to help others while providing a positive patient experience at every encounter.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Customer-centric focus with warm, welcoming, professional demeanor.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
• High level of computer literacy with the ability to use and/or quickly learn computer programs including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume and dynamic atmosphere.
• Ability to communicate and work efficiently with patients, co-workers, and providers.
• Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors with courtesy.
• Obtain and update patient demographics and insurance information.
• Schedule or reschedule appointments and check out in the EMR.
• Collect payment and assist with billing while meeting time-of-service goals.
• Scan insurance cards, IDs, and documents into the EMR system.
• Set up payment plans per policy.
• Answer high-volume calls and respond to emails promptly.
• Confirm all unconfirmed appointments for the next business day.
• Monitor the lobby and inform patients of delays.
• Assist with online registration or form completion.
• Maintain tidiness of lobby and front area.
• Demonstrate and embody Women’s Care values and HIPAA compliance.
• Comply with HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
