Job summary

Nicklaushealth is seeking a friendly Customer Service representative to greet patients and families in person or by phone, and to collect demographics, payer and financial information for scheduling.

You will verify third-party payer information, obtain authorizations, register patients, explain balances, and coordinate with clinical departments, while upholding HIPAA and delivering compassionate service.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years customer service experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Medical or healthcare office experience preferred.
• Fluent in Spanish preferred.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and families in person or by phone.
• Register patients and collect demographic, payer, and financial information for scheduling.
• Verify third party payer information and obtain authorizations and/or referrals.
• Document activities in the system and collect payments as required.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance while assisting patients.
