Job summary

Qualifications

• 1–3 years customer service experience
• High school education or equivalent preferred
• Fluent in Spanish preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing, and to enter data accurately

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and families in person or on the telephone.
• Obtains demographic, payer, financial, medical information and identification to schedule or register the patient.
• Obtains authorization, referrals, and collects payments as required.
• Verifies third party payer information and seeks appropriate authorization/referral.
• Documents activity in the QA system.
• Obtains necessary consents for treatment and directs families to waiting area.
• Schedules physician or hospital services and confirms appointments two days prior.
