Job summary

R1 RCM Inc. is seeking a Patient Access Representative at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital to serve as the first point of contact for patients.

You will ensure fast, compassionate access to care across multiple systems, while supporting registration and insurance processes in a fast-paced hospital setting. You’ll gain experience in healthcare administration and revenue cycle operations, with training provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients and families with check-in across multiple computer systems.
• Answer phones and gather accurate patient information quickly.
• Support timely access to care by minimizing registration delays and answering questions clearly.
• Build trust with patients during moments of illness, anxiety, or confusion.
• Navigate diverse insurance plans and collect co-pays and cost estimates when applicable.
• Collaborate with nurses and care teams to ensure smooth patient flow.
