Qualifications

• At least five years of related clinical work experience.
• Medical terminology experience preferred; certificate a plus.
• Previous experience with hospital information systems required.
• Experience with insurance companies and insurance verification procedures.

Responsibilities

• Schedules follow-up appointments, tests and procedures as directed.
• Provides ID bands to patients and completes check-in.
• Transcribes orders for labs, radiology, etc.
• Responds to EPIC in-basket messages promptly.
• Verifies insurance coverage with the Patient Access team.
