Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Communicates with patients, families, physicians, and insurance companies to obtain information and verify insurance.
• Interviews patients to collect demographic and financial information and ensure forms are completed according to requirements.
• Enters data for registration, billing, and patient tracking to minimize wait times.
• Verifies insurance coverage and authorizations as applicable.
• Assists with billing processes and acts as liaison between patient and department staff.
• Schedules patient appointments and coordinates procedures and provider visits.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and handles medical information.
