Job summary

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is seeking a PRN Patient Access representative to greet patients, verify insurance, and obtain accurate demographic and financial information to ensure smooth registration and billing.

You will collaborate with clinical staff and the Appeals department, handle scheduling, chart creation, charge entry, and deposits, and maintain patient confidentiality across multiple locations in the Metro Atlanta area.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPAR or CHAA certification preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Interviews patients and families to collect demographic and financial information.
• Enters data into registration, billing and tracking systems to minimize wait times.
• Confirms insurance coverage and obtains authorizations when applicable.
• Explains financial requirements and collects deposits or deductibles as needed.
• Supports Appeals department to overturn claim denials when applicable.
• Schedules patient appointments and coordinates procedures across locations.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and handles medical record maintenance.
