Job summary

Intermountain Health Cedar City Hospital is seeking a Patient Service Representative who serves as the first connection between Intermountain and patients. The PSR focuses on delivering exceptional customer/patient satisfaction through accurate data entry, courteous contact, and attentive support during intake and care.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, checking in/out, scheduling visits, verifying insurance, collecting payments, and updating the EMR.

Qualifications

• Six months of customer service experience.
• Basic computer skills with word processing and data entry.
• Ability to protect privacy, confidentiality, and PHI of patients.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in/out patients and verify demographic data.
• Schedule appointments, procedures, tests, referrals, and consultations.
• Obtain insurance information and assist with pre-certifications as needed.
• Document all calls and interactions in the EMR.
• Collect payments and educate patients on financial assistance.
