Job summary

OrthoCarolina Fort Mill is seeking a Patient Services Specialist for its 12-Hour Orthopedic Urgent Care team. The role supports patient intake, scheduling, and cashier duties on site, averaging 30 hours per week with alternating 12-hour shifts.

You will collect and verify patient information in EPIC, handle co-pays and insurance questions, and ensure accurate processing of visits while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Working knowledge of insurance processes and patient billing basics.
• Experience with Epic/EMR systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and clinical workflows.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and prepare intake paperwork.
• Verify and enter patient information into EPIC.
• Answer calls, direct scheduling, and post charges as needed.
• Collect co-pays, co-insurance, and balances due.
• Process requests for release of medical information and FMLA/disability forms.
