Job summary

OrthoCarolina is seeking a full-time Clinical Assistant at our Fort Mill orthopedic office. You will provide and coordinate patient care, perform routine procedures, and support physicians with documentation and patient education.

EPIC EMR experience and strong communication are essential. The role includes assisting with casting, bracing, injections, and in-office procedures, while also handling scheduling, filing, and triage tasks to ensure smooth daily operations within a high-quality

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited program for medical assistants, athletic training, or nursing. Or experience plus certification.
CMA/RMA must be registered/certified through recognized national organizations.
Emergency Medical Technician certification is acceptable.
Athletic Trainers (ATCs) board certification is preferred for applicable roles.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and escort to exam rooms.
Record past medical/surgical histories, vitals, medications, and allergies in the EHR (EPIC).
Assist with patient examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures.
Clean and sterilize rooms and equipment after each encounter.
Assist with casting/bracing, sutures/staples, and injections.
Educate patients using booklets and instruction sheets before minor procedures.
Perform administrative duties: order supplies, stock rooms, respond to messages, handle refill requests, file documents, and monitor queues.
